Start off your daily prayer and devotions with a moment of giving verbal praise and thanksgiving to God.

Prayer of Confession

Confession is a powerful act of devotion. It has healing and cleansing power. Say a prayer of confession.

For thousands of years, Christians have prayed the "Jesus Prayer." This one-line, easy to remember prayer might help you as you open up your heart in confession.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name.
Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done
On Earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever,

Personal & Intercessory Prayer

Pray the Beatitudes

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the poor in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Prayer of the Week

Merciful God, you sent your messengers the prophets to preach repentance and prepare the way for our salvation: Give us grace to hear their warnings and repent of our sins, that we may greet with joy the coming of Jesus Christ our Redeemer; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

End With Praise

Before you go about the rest of your day, take one more opportunity to offer praise and thanks to God. Give thanks for the prayers he's already answered, and the prayers He is going to answer.

Take the presence of God that you've experienced during your prayer time with you throughout your day.
