Does Jesus Understand My Struggle?
In week two of the "Simply Jesus" Lenten series, Pastor Seth Drewry from Believers Fellowship in Belleville, AR delves into the temptations of Jesus as depicted in Luke 4:1-13. Pastor Seth highlights how Jesus, although tempted like us, remained unyielding to sin. Through fasting and prayer, Jesus finds strength and effectively uses Scripture to counter temptation, illustrating how God provides the resources to resist sin. Pastor Seth explains that Jesus' 40 days in the wilderness equip Him to understand our struggles deeply, as He experienced the same trials and temptations in human form. With this empathy, He offers us guidance and victory over sin. By following Jesus’ example, we can find empowerment in times of trial, renew our commitment during Lent, and look forward to a harvest of heart transformation on Easter Sunday.
