Preparing the ground for revival.

“Before God sends rain, He tills the soil.” These seven days are about alignment, hunger, repentance, faith, and expectancy.

Day 1 - Sunday, January 18
“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”  -Joshua 3:5

PRAYER FOCUS: Begin setting yourself apart. Revival doesn’t start with church services; it starts with hearts.

PRAYER POINTS:
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and reveal anything that dulls spiritual hunger
  • Confess sin quickly and honestly; receive God’s cleansing
  • Pray for a fresh hunger for God’s presence—not routine, not emotion, but real encounter

FASTING TIP: Start strong. Choose a fast that stretches you but is sustainable. Let hunger turn into prayer.
Day 2 - Monday, January 19
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven…” -2 Chronicles 7:14

PRAYER FOCUS: Repentance clears away spiritual hindrance and allows revival to flow.

PRAYER POINTS:
  • Pray for personal repentance and inner healing
  • Ask God to heal wounds, offenses, bitterness, and fatigue
  • Pray for spiritual renewal in our church—fresh fire, fresh oil
  • Pray that old patterns of complacency would be broken
Day 3 - Tuesday, January 20
The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. -Luke 19:10

PRAYER FOCUS: Revival that doesn’t reach the lost is incomplete

PRAYER POINTS:
  • Pray for unsaved family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors by name
  • Ask God to soften hearts and remove spiritual blindness
  • Pray for conviction of sin and revelation of Jesus
  • Pray for divine appointments during and after Winter Revival
  • Ask God to make Believers Fellowship a place where the lost feel drawn and welcomed
Day 4 - Wednesday, January 21
““I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority…”    -1 Timothy 2:1-2

PRAYER FOCUS:
Pray for your church leadership. Healthy leadership creates space for God’s work to grow and flourish.

PRAYER POINTS:
  • Pray for Pastor Seth & Pastor Katie—for strength, wisdom, protection, and rest
  • Pray for spiritual covering over church leadership, pastoral staff, deacons, and ministry teams
  • Ask God to guard against discouragement, burnout, or distraction
  • Pray for unity, humility, and shared vision in the church
  • Pray that leadership would hear clearly from the Holy Spirit in this season
Day 5 - Thursday, January 22
“Pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word.”-Colossians 4:3

PRAYER FOCUS: Prepare the atmosphere for Winter Revival before the services happen.

PRAYER POINTS:
  • Pray for each Winter Revival service—Sunday morning, Sunday night, and each evening
  • Pray for the evangelists: clarity, boldness, physical strength, and spiritual authority
  • Pray for salvations, Spirit baptism, healing, deliverance, and renewal
  • Pray against distraction, resistance, or spiritual opposition
Day 6 - Friday, January 23
“I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.”  -Joel 2:28

PRAYER FOCUS: True revival must be multi-generational. Pray for the families, children, and next generation of our church and community.

PRAYER POINTS:
  • Pray for marriages and families in our church
  • Pray for children and youth to encounter God personally
  • Ask God to protect the next generation from deception and compromise
  • Pray for spiritual mentors, godly friendships, and calling clarity
  • Pray that our church would be a safe, Spirit-filled place for young people to grow
Day 7 - Saturday, January 24
“Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance.” -Psalm 2:8

PRAYER FOCUS: Finish the fast leaning forward, not winding down. Stir up faith for an expectant heart ready to receive during Winter Revival.

PRAYER POINTS:
  • Thank God in advance for what He is about to do
  • Pray with bold faith and expectation for revival
  • Ask God for more than comfort—ask for transformation
  • Pray for lasting fruit beyond the meetings
  • Declare openness, obedience, and availability to whatever God wants to do
Tips For Fasting
  1. Check out our resources on fasting and prayer in the BF app. There are helpful articles and inspirational sermons available there to help you.
  2. Before you begin, think it through. Choose a fasting plan that works for you. Write it down so that you don’t waiver or start justifying your appetite during the fast. Make a verbal commitment to the Lord and start with a committed heart.
  3. There are different types of fasts: “full fast” means only water, “liquid only fast” means only liquids, or you can do a modified fast. You can fast one or more meals per day. You can fast frpm certain types of food (meats, sweets, etc.) Choose a fast that stretches you but is sustainable. If you have dietary or medical concerns, consult your doctor before fasting.
  4. If you falter in your fast don’t despair. Seeking God through prayer and fasting is never wasted time. Just get back on the plan and finish strong.
  5. During your normal meal times, get out your Bible and read and spend time in prayer. Fill the time you would normally use to nourish your body by nourishing your soul.
  6. If you’re doing a “Daniel fast” or a “modified fast” do an internet search for fasting recipes that work for you.
  7. Check out books, ebooks, or audiobooks from biblically-based authors to help you grow in this important spiritual discipline. Pastor Seth & Katie recommned the books Fasting by Jentezen Franklin and Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala.
